Prasad holds 17,433 shares in RIL

Prasad, who has been with RIL for over 28 years and heads the company"s petroleum business, has been inducted into RIL"s board as executive director with effect from August 21, 2009. As on the date of assuming office of director, Prasad held 17,433 equity shares in the company, the filing said. The company has also appointed Crisil"s former chairman R Ravimohan as executive director on the board. With the appointments, the RIL board has expanded to 14 with seven members being independent directors. Shares of RIL were trading at Rs 2,007.15, down 3.23 per cent in the late afternoon trade on the BSE.
