GTL Q2 net up 31% at Rs 50.22 cr

GTL today reported a 31 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 50.22 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2009. In the year-ago period, the company had a consolidated net profit of Rs 38.30 crore, GTL said in a filing to the BSE. - Zensar Technologies Q2 net stood at Rs 27.74 cr - Honda Q2 profit plunges 56% - Kotak Mahindra net surges 86% to Rs 299 cr - Zydus Cadila net up 39% to Rs 132 cr - Fortis Healthcare net rises 23% at Rs 13 cr - Dish TV posts Q2 oss of Rs 56 cr Total consolidated income increased to Rs 560.39 crore for the second quarter from 488.47 crore. Shares of the network services provider were trading at Rs 328, down 0.73 per cent on the BSE.

Govt no to IIFCL alternative fund use request
The government has turned down the suggestion of the India Infrastructure Finance Co (IIFCL) to use its refinance facility for other lending. The Rs 10,000-crore facility was announced last year to support private partnership projects in the infrastructure sector. After seeing a lukewarm response to the facility, IIFCL had proposed that the funds lying idle could be utilised elsewhere.
