Court extends judicial custody of Satyam accused

A local court posted the petition filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) asking it to start the hearing in the Satyam case to December 23. The entire documentation ran into 55,000 pages. The defence lawyers wanted the documents to be verified before being given to them and the court upheld their contention.The court also extended the judicial custody of the accused by 14 days till December 23. Except Satyam founder and former chairman B Ramalinga Raju, who is undergoing treatment at the Nizam"s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) here, the remaining eight accused were produced before the court on Wednesday.
